After 4 years of trying (well, 7 if you count the 3 years it took me to get Trish to start trying with me), 1 year of IVF, 9 months of growing her and 30 hours of labour, at 6:19am this morning, Scarlett Cook was born! Here we are a couple of hours after the birth.

Trish was heroic, Scarlett is gorgeous, and I’m a little wrecked. The vital stats for those who are interested are 3340 grams, 50cm long and 35cm head circumference (I never knew that was a key stat for a new baby). But most importantly everyone is well and happy.
