The very wise Lisa O’Neill has introduced a theme this quarter for the Thought Leaders team that I think is worth sharing.
Be kind and do your job.
I reckon that's profound.
If you're a thought leader running a practice, your job is to think, sell and deliver. So do your job.
And be kind. I love the quote "Be kind, for everyone you meet is fighting a hard battle." (Which may or may not have been said by Plato.)
Of course the most important person to be kind to is yourself. If I could only give you one piece of advice on how to do your job better, I'd say be kinder to yourself. It's not an either/or.
(Thank you Kate Burke for the question that prompted this.)
