A friend just reached out to have a chat about money. I’m catching up with him and his wife soon.
They’re about to lose one of their salaries, and they’re anxious about making ends meet … and about their financial future.
Mostly this is not stuff we talk about. And I’m honoured that they’ve asked me to have this conversation with them.
I reckon my advice will come down to three things:
1. Get clear about what’s so. Make sure we know what the reality really is.
2. Accept it. (This is the big one. Accept it the way it is, rather than how you think it should be.)
3. Plan from that place.
Possibly good advice for any type of challenge you’re facing right now.
