If you appreciate my blogs, then a big chunk of the appreciation should go to Trish, my editor.
She’ll fix the grammar, the spelling (turns out the past tense of pay is paid, not payed … go figure), and the sentence structure.
More importantly she’ll tell me when something doesn’t make sense, when I’m not making a strong enough point, or the writing in a certain part isn’t that good.
But the most important thing she does is tell me when to axe a blog all together. Once or twice a year she’ll just say nah, not that one. That’s not hitting the mark.
So, so useful. It’s like having a safety net … I can just relax and say what I want to say. And Trish will tell me if it’s ready to go or not.
Is there a part of your work where somebody having your back like Trish has mine would be useful? Where having that kind of safety net would help you be more authentic? Or take more risks?
Worth considering.
