I was mentoring someone a few weeks back. Let’s call her Mabel.
As part of the prep, Mabel had filled out a 10-page questionnaire that involved doing an audit of her whole life.
Her answer to the question, “What do you want to get out of the mentoring session?” was “confidence that I’m on the right track.”
It’s very common to feel like we’re not on the right track.
Mabel’s life, like everyone's, has a past, a present, and a future. Here’s one way to think about the three parts.
When it comes to the past, her journey was exactly the one she was meant to take, and she couldn’t have done it any other way.
As for the present, where she is right now is perfect. She is exactly where she is meant to be. She couldn’t be anywhere else.
So then my job with Mabel was just to help her get clear on what she wanted in the future, and put that request to the universe.
From that perspective, Mabel is 100% on the right track.
(It was a nice reminder for me too. Turns out I, too, am on the right track.)
I reckon this might apply to you. If you’re not sure whether you’re on the right track, send me an email telling me what’s going on, and ask me.
I’ll reply and tell you that you are.
