A little while back I spent a month at a meditation retreat in Spain. Very cool thing to do, I highly recommend it if you get the chance.
Our teacher, Maharishi, gave us different homework every couple of days. Different things to focus on.
Just before we left he gave us a final piece of homework for the rest of our lives. He said if you forget everything else I have said, remember this.
Each day, be a little less serious than the day before.
Absolute gold. So each day in my work, with my family and with myself I’m trying to take things just a little less seriously. And by doing so I find myself smiling a little more.
Love to hear your thoughts – where do you think you could afford to be just a little less serious? You can leave them below.
